Belgian bass-baritone (1897-1987), autograph note signed, 1 page, written in French, sold untranslated, dated in 1938. Size is 5.25 x 7 inches, small creases and folds, otherwise in good condition. 

American soprano (1881-1948), signed photograph, shown in role, signed in New York at the Metropolitan Opera, dated in 1925. Inscribed. Printed signature on front of photographer Apeda, New York. Size is 7 x 9.25 inches, beautiful vintage photo, in excellent condition.  

American concert and operatic tenor and voice teacher (1898-1952), signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed. Bold handwriting and signature. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in very good condition. 

Spanish baritone (1914-2013), signed postcard photograph, shown as himself. Printed photographer signature on front. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

German soprano (1884-1964), vintage signed photograph, shown as Isolde in Wagner's Tristan und Isolde, dated in Leipzig in 1919. 3.5 x 5.5 inch photo mounted on paper with signature on paper underneath the photo. Photo by Hermann Leiser, Berlin. Additional unsigned photograph on verso, shown in the title role of Gounod's Sapho. Total item size is 5 x 8 inches, in very good condition.

Scottish tenor (1884-1977), signed publicity photograph, shown as Sir Walter Raleigh in Edward German's opera Merrie England, dated in 1935. Clear handwriting and signature. Photo by Walter Bird. Size is 6.5 x 8.5 inches, small crease on bottom left and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in good condition.

Spanish baritone (1876-1949), one of  the most important Spanish baritones of the first third of the twentieth century, also active in South America and became one of the most famous singers of zarzuela and operettas. Signed photograph, shown in role in Jacinto Guerrero's zarzuela "La Rosa del Azafran", dated in 1931. Bold handwriting and signature. Size is 4.5 x 6.75 inches, in very good condition.

Spanish baritone (1876-1949), one of  the most important Spanish baritones of the first third of the twentieth century, also active in South America and became one of the most famous singers of zarzuela and operettas. Signed caricature, shown in role, inscribed, dated in 1931, bold handwriting and signature.  Size is 3.75 x 6 inches, in very good condition.

Scottish tenor (1884-1977). Black-and-white half-tone photograph (probably from a magazine) attached to a soft cardboard signed by him, dated in Brussels, 1935. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in very good condition.

British baritone (1899-2000). Black-and-white photo postcard signed by him, depicted in a drawing as Masetto in Mozart's opera "Don Giovanni". Size is 3.4 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Scottish soprano (1901-1950). Black-and-white photo postcard signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Polish mezzo-soprano (1887-1941), signed photograph, shown in role, inscribed, dated in Vienna in 1926. Oval shaped photo, mounted on cardboard, total item size is 9.75 x 13 inches, several creases on corners, otherwise in very good condition.

French mezzo-soprano (1882-1946), and singing teacher whose best-known pupils were Janine Micheau and Gerard Souzay. Signed photograph, shown as herself, dated in 1925. This is a 5.25 x 7 inch photo mounted on cardboard, total item size is 10 x 13.5 inches, stamped on verso of cardboard by Joaillier photographers, Paris, small tear on top left of photo and wear on the cardboard, otherwis in very good condition.

Italian tenor (1836-1899), signed CDV, shown in role, signed on verso, inscribed to baritone Vincenzo Cottone, dated in Bilbao in 1871. Stamped on verso by photographer Deroche, Bologna. Size is 2.25 x 4 inches, in excellent condition.

Greek tenor (1888-1971), whose real name was Odysseus Lappas, sang throughout Europe from 1914 through about 1940, made several recordings.  Signed photograph, shown as himself, printed signature of photographer in front. Size is 8 x 10 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

Croatian-born Italian soprano (1883-1982), signed photograph, shown in Gaspare Spontini's La Vestale. Printed signature on front of photographers Varischi and Artico, Milan. Size is 4.75 x 6.75 inches, small creases on edges not affecting the image or signature. Otherwise in very good condition.

Greek tenor (1888-1971), whose real name was Odysseus Lappas, sang throughout Europe from 1914 through about 1940, made several recordings. Signed photograph, shown in  role in Giordano's Fedora, inscribed and dated in 1954. Blind stamped on front and stamped on verso by photographer G. Moreschi, San Remo. American tenor and celebrated voice teacher (1889-1954), particularly associated with the Metropolitan Opera of New York and for his later career in Wagnerian roles. American soprano (1926-2012) and American bass-baritone (1928-2006), who were married to each other and frequently performed together. Double signed photograph, shown as themselves, young. Printed signature on front of photographer Christian Steiner. Size is 7.5 x 9.5 inches, in very good condition.

French baritone (1833-1908) and professor, who debuted at the Opéra-Comique in Ponchielli's "La Gioconda". Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated April 18, 1888, where he addresses the art critic and journalist Félix Jahyer (1834-1907), commenting on an article about the Parisian Chronicles. Size is 4.5 x 7.1 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), in overall excellent condition. The original envelope is ALSO INCLUDED.

Belgian tenor (1834-1906), particularly known for his portrayal of Wagner and Meyerbeer heroes.  Set of three autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him: two of them dated 1859. Letters are addressed to gentlemen regarding performances and theater lodges.  We report an extract as a sample: “…je joue demain le Songe d’une nuit d’été; l’intérêt que vous me portez me fait penser qu’il vous serait agréable de me voir ce qui fait que malgré les embarras d’un mauvais rhume je mets deux places à votre disposition…”. Each one's is 1 page long, two are 5.5 x 8.3 inches, one is 5.2 x 8.2, folds, creases, in overall very good condition.

French tenor (1916-1995). Set of two autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him, one of them dated 1960, addressed to the journalist and musicologist Bernard Gavoty (1908-1981) and concern a radio broadcast dedicated to “…les grands interprètes…”.  Each one's size is 5.5 x 8.4 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet each (front and back), creases, folds, in overall very good condition.

English mezzo-soprano (b.1940). Fine black-and-white photograph signed by her, shown as Amneris in Verdi's Aida. Size is 7.75 x 9.25 inches, in excellent condition.

French soprano (ca.1910-?) of operettas and cinema actress, who performed at the Opéra-Comique (1943) and La Monnaie. Fine black-and-white promo photo postcard signed by her with a short sentiment. Size is 3.5 x 5.4 inches, in excellent condition.

Brazilian-born mezzo-soprano (b.1950). Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by her, here shown in Verdi's Nabucco at Teatro Regio in Turin. Size is 4.75 x 6.25 inches, pinholes in upper corners, in very good condition.

French singer (1801-1868), teacher and writer, cantor of the music chapel of Charles X, he was much appreciated by Luigi Cherubini and Carl Maria von Weber. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, no date indicated, addressed to a Maître, concerning the visit of the journalist Louis Esnault: “…vous ne pouvez pas douter du plaisir que nous aurons à faire la connaissance performelle d’un homme dont nous aimons le beau talent depuis long-temps…”. Size is 5.3 x 8.45 inches, 1 page, letterhead of "L'Univers Musical", folds, creases, in overall good condition.
