Letter is dated July 16th 1921 and refers to the composition of Turandot!: "For me instead, it is a languishing existence. Turandot is going forward, but somewhat slowly. I am at a point where I feel like shouting viva to everything I no longer have...!. Life is continuous longing. You must be happy, since you have youth, love and glory. All these are missing in my life, especially the first!". Written in italian, provided with a full English translation

However, if this deal goes through, they have mentioned another director...". "But in the future if the occasion presents, I would be most delighted that my opera is entrusted to you". Dated May 25th, 1905, 1 page, 6 x 9.75 inches, written on one side, other side used to write address (used folded as its own envelope).
