Famous Hungarian composer (1870-1948), mostly know for his operettas. Franz Lehar signs beneath drawing of himself conducting in the early 1930ies this postcard showing a drawing of him. Verso also written by Lehar. Sent from the Lehar residence in Vienna to an American admirer, a small piece on the lower right is missing, size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches.

Wonderful autograph letter written and signed by the great italian composer (1858-1924). Puccini writes from Torre del Lago to famous and singer Gilda Dalla Rizza in Buenos Aires. Letter is dated July 16th 1921 and refers to the composition of Turandot!: "For me instead, it is a languishing existence. Turandot is going forward, but somewhat slowly. I am at a point where I feel like shouting viva to everything I no longer have...!. Life is continuous longing. You must be happy, since you have youth, love and glory. All these are missing in my life, especially the first!". Written in italian, provided with a full English translation

Puccini, Giacomo - Autograph Letter Signed on Madama Butterfly

Great autograph letter signed by the famous italian composer (1858-1924). Puccini writes to conductor Edoardo Vitale referring to negotiations for his opera "Madama Butterfly": "For the time being, no deal as yet with Dal Verme with regard to Butterfly. However, if this deal goes through, they have mentioned another director...". "But in the future if the occasion presents, I would be most delighted that my opera is entrusted to you". Dated May 25th, 1905, 1 page, 6 x 9.75 inches, written on one side, other side used to write address (used folded as its own envelope).

Saint-Saens, Camille - Autograph Letter Signed

French composer (1835-1921), organist, conductor and pianist, one of the greatest in history. Handwritten letter in french to an unknown person, Saint-Sains talks about a postponed performance of Antigone (a musical adaptation of Sophocles´ play he wronte in 1893) and contracts. One sheet, written on both sides and signed on verso, 8 x 10 inches, dated June, 1921. It as traces of a photo that was attached on verso, otherwise excellent condition.
