Bastianini, Ettore - Signed photo in Il Trovatore
Famous italian bass and later baritone (1922-1967), world acclaimed, died young (44) of throat cancer. Great signed photo by Piccagliani from La Scala, showing him in one of his most famous roles: The Count of Luna in Verdi´s opera "Il Trovatore". Framed together with a clip from a Met program for a performance of this opera in 1956, clip is signed by Nell Rankin who performaned Azucena that night. Stat italian tenor and soprano, both Met stars for many years - Cast page from a Met program, signed by both Corelli and Tebaldi, for a performance in 1963 of Cilea´s opera "Adriana Lecouvreur". American star soprano (1882-1967) and film actress, an authentic opera diva on her time who recorded extensively and became extremely famous in her time. Signed photo postcard showing her in the title role in Puccini´s opera "Madama Butterfly", one of her most famous roles, size is 3.25 x 5 inches viewable, dated 1907. Toscanini, Arturo - Farewell to Gatti-Casazza Signed Menu 1935
Menu-program from 1935, Farewell dinner to Gatti-Casazza (who was the Met manager for 27 years and retired in 1935). Signed by Arturo Toscanini, Beniamino Gigli, Rosa Ponselle, Lucrezia Bori, Giovanni Martinelli, Lucrezia Bori, Herbert Whitherspoon and Guilio Gatti-Casazza himself! Some soiling on the left panel, right panel with signature is in excellent conditions, frame is 22 x 16 inches, program-menu is at least 6.5 x 4.5 inches (each window). Frame includes a photo of Toscanini with Gatti-Casazza, both shown young. All in excellent condition!.
