Serbian violinist (1904-1964) and prodigy child. Fine black-and-white photo postcard signed by him with a short sentiment, shown young and dated in Glasgow, 1921. Photo is mounted on a slightly larger piece of paper to a total size of 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian violinist and professor (1917-2004), with an important international career, both as a concertist and as a teacher. Signed photo, size is 7 x 4.5 inches. Stamped on verso by photographer Grassi, Siena, Italy.

American string quartet founded in 1992 at the Juilliard School of Music.  Fabulous larger size black and white photo signed by all four members.  Size is 8.25 x 10.8 inches, in very good condition.

German violinist (1869-1933), a great interpreter of Paganini and to whom Sibelius originally dedicated his famous violin concerto. Fine black and white photo postcard signed by him, dated in Berlin in 1922. Size is 3.25 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition. 2-sided signed album page featuring signatures on both sides of many leading classical performers including such great artists as the German–Swiss violinist, conductor, and composer Adolf Busch, Austrian violinist Rudolf Serkin, the German conductor Hans Oppenheim, and the opera singers Ina Souez, Irene Eisenger and Ina Souez, who were particularly associated with the Glyndebourne festival in the 1930s. Size is 5.75 x 8.25 inches, very small creases on some corners, otherwise in excellent condition.

Spanish cellist, composer, and conductor (1876-1973), regarded as the pre-eminent cellist of the first half of the 20th century, and one of the greatest cellists of all time. 2-bar autograph music quote with music by Mendelssohn on a regular postcard signed by him (postal markings indicate the year 1910). Size is 5.4 x 3.5 inches, small crack over the lower-left corner, written address by another hand, otherwise in excellent condition.

Spanish cellist and conductor (1876-1973) who enjoyed an international reputation as a soloist and conductor.  Typed letter in French signed by him, dated in Prades, June 23, 1955, to violinist Nona Liddell MacMahon (1927-2017). Size is 5.3 x 8.3 inches, 1 page, letterhead of Prades Festival, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a black-and-white photograph of the cellist in performance, dated 1964.

Ukraine-born violinist (1890-1974), raised in Canada.  Beautiful photograph signed by him, shown young, dated in 1920.  Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

Argentine-Italian violinist and conductor (1915-2007). His career developed mostly as a conductor. Signed photo postcard, shown performing the violin, inscribed and dated in 1939. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

American string quartet formed in 2015.Their CD album "Breaking the Silence" signed by all four members of the quartet: Marta Krechkovsky (violin II), Jennifer Orchard (violin I), Tatjana Mead Chamis (viola), and Bronwyn Banerdt (cello). Jewel case's size is 5.5 x 4.9 inches, in overall very good condition (CD not tested).

American violinist and member of the respected American Perolé Quartet of the interwar period. Stamped on verso by photographer Maillard, Kesslere. Signed photo, inscribed and dated in 1926. Size is 7 x 9.1 inches, trimmed from a larger format, minor damage over lower left corner, in good condition.

Italian violinist, composer, teacher and benefactor (1876-1933). Signed photo postcard, shown young. Size is 3.25 x 5.25 inches, some silvering around borders otherwise in excellent condition.

French violinist (1809-1900). Autograph letter in French, signed by him as "Cuvillon", dated in Paris, January 25, 1843, to the Minister of the Interior, giving some autobiographical notes to be taken into consideration for a vacancy as violin professor, as follows: "... In 1826 I won the first prize for violin at the Conservatoire, and since that time I have never ceased to substitute for Monsieur Habeneck, my master, when he could not hold his class (...) I worked on composition with Monsieur Reicha and I continued my serious studies to deepen the aesthetics of my art to acquire an authority that my age could not have given me and to transmit the healthy traditions of the beautiful school of Viotti and the Baillus...". Size is 8 x 11.9 inches, three written pages, folds, some dirt, and creases, in overall very good condition (see scans provided). Complete French transcription ALSO INCLUDED in a separate sheet.

French violinist (1840-1905), composer, and conductor, mainly of opera. Autograph note on a carte-telegramme signed by him, dated 1884 [postal marks indicate Dec 84], to the French composer Léo Delibes, concerning the talent of the stage singer Lucien Fugère, performing in Delibes’ opera “Le roi l’a dit” (1873): "... In telling you that I am almost as happy as you are with your Lucien, I will not surprise you, but what I also wish to tell you is with what sympathy and satisfaction the news was learned last night at the orchestra...". Size is 5.1 x 2.9 inches, overall rust tone, in excellent condition.

French violinist and conductor (1840-1905). Set of 2 autograph notes in French (sold untranslated), signed by him. Both notes have the letterhead of the Theatre National de L’Opera -Comique, one is dated in 1881 and is 5.4 x 8.25 inches, while the other is dated in 1887, sized 4.25 x 3.25 inches, in good condition.

Belgian violinist and composer (1802-1870), creator of a great amount of violin music, including 10 popular concertos.  Autograph note signed with a short message in French, informing the reception of a payment from a publisher for his composition, dated in Paris, 1851.  Size is 7.25 x 5.25 inches, minor stains, in overall good condition.

Belgian violinist and composer (1802-1870), creator of a great amount of violin music, including 10 popular concertos. Fine collection of 5 autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him, no date indicated (but circa 1866). Letters are addressed to a friend and mainly concern upcoming concerts, music lessons arrangements and other matters. We report an extract as a sample: “…Je suis venu vous rendre visite pour vous demander si vous seriez assez aimable pour me prêter votre précieux concours à la soirée que je compte donner chez Erard le 9 Avril prochain? (…) je vous serais obligé de me donner les titres des morceaux que vous désirez chanter…”.   Different sizes and lengths, in very good condition or better.  ALSO INCLUDED is the printed cover of the “4ème Concerto pour piano” Op. 83 signed and inscribed by Beriot. Belgian cellist (1840-1915); Australian-born pianist (1864-1952). Set of two semihard cardboards signed by Ernest De Munck, Marguerite de Pachmann,  violinist Wilma Neruda, British comedian George Grossmith and other artists such as Eleanor Rees, Sophie Robertson, and others.  Size is 9 x 11.25 inches each, irregularly cut left border, in very good condition. Italian-British classical violinist (1907-1994).  Signed album page dated in London, 1952, beautifully matted with a portrait of her.  Total size is 8.1 x 15.5 inches (album page is 4.5 x 3.5 inches, portrait is 4.1 x 6.5 inches -visible window size), in very good condition.

French violinist. Signed photo postcard, inscribed and dated in Paris, 1910. Size is 3.4 x 5.4 inches, in excellent condition.

French violinist (1827-1904) and painter. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Paris, December 26, 1895, addressed to the bibliophile and collector Victor Déséglise, accepting an invitation. Size is 4.6 x 7 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), original envelope included, in overall very good condition.  ALSO INCLUDED is an autograph typed letter signed, dated Paris le 13 Mai 1903, below a typed letter by Robert Desmarres (1869-1946), nephew of the painter Tony-Robert Fleury, addressed to Déséglise for a “Concert au bénéfice d’un artiste musicien”. Desmarres adds at the end of the typed letter: “…En qualité d’ami personnel de Monsieur Achille Dien permettez moi, Monsieur, de dévoiler l’annonce de cette lettre…”. Original envelope and a visiting card with autograph lines by Desmarres ARE INCLUDED as well. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

French top string quartet founded in 1996.  Larger size color promo photo signed by all four members.  Size is 12 x 8.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian violinist (1850-1925) and composer, who founded and led a successful salon orchestra in the tradition of the Strauss orchestra. 7-bar autograph music quote from the composer's aria "Du nur allein" Op.122, signed by him, dated in Vienna, May 4, 1915. Size is 4.4 x 3.3 inches, some dirt, in overall excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an autograph note signed, dated 1916, to a theater director concerning a waltz. 

Belgian cellist and composer (1877-1952), also was director of the Conservatory in Dijon. Dumas was a gifted cellist and created pieces for the instrument, as well as for the piano. Autograph letter signed, undated, to a friend, in French, sold untranslated. One page, 8.4 x 10.6 inches, folds, minor cracks, in overall very good condition.
