Autograph letter in French signed by him, no date, to Mr. Buia, about some theatrical works “…Je vous envoie les quelques titres qui me paraissent devoir être les meilleurs. Le Mariage de Figaro, L’Etourdie…”.  Size is 5 x 8 inches each page, 2 written pages in one folded sheet, embossed logo, folds, creases, in overall very good condition.

Autograph letter in French signed by him, no date, to a lady concerning a “chansonnier nationale”: “...votre générosité sera connu grâce au compte tenu des cette belle matinée qui aura été le rélèvement de votre chansonnier national...”.  Size is 4.5 x 7.5 inches, 1 written page, embossed letterhead, folds, and creases, in overall very good condition.

Autograph letter in French written on a card signed by him to Marie-Louise mentioning a conference concerning Don Juan: “...Ce personnage n’est pas précisément crée et mis au monde pour qu’on puisse le commenter devant des jeunes filles, je ne puis donc, à mon grand regret, te conseiller d’assister à la conférence de mercredi...”.  Size is 5 x 3.25 inches, 2 written pages on both faces of the card, evident crease over the left border, tape residues, in overall very good condition.

American film and television actor (1917-2006), active between 1950-2005. Fantastic poster promoting the play "And a Nightingale Sang" at Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, Lincoln Center, New York, signed by him.  Size is 14 x 22 inches, in excellent condition.

English actor (b.1937) of stage and screen, but focused on performing in the theatre from the mid-1960s onwards.  Beautiful black and white photograph shown young signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment.  Size is 3.4 x 5.4 inches, in excellent condition.

Autograph letter in English signed by her, dated 1864, to author Lucy Duff Gordon (1821-1869) providing information on her activities and arranging for a meeting at her place: “...Saturday afternoon when, having accomplished many things, I shall be in a quiescent state and glad to speak to you about my house...”. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by her, postmarked 8.10.84, to Monsieur David: “…Quelle est l’épithète malsonnante que vous devez employer à mon égard, je dois vous anoncer que d’avance je vous pardonne car c’est moi seule qui ai tort; mais les répétitions et les fatigues qui j’endure sont les seules causes moyennes de mon impolitesse…”. Open size is 9 x 7 inches, three written pages in one folded sheet, creases, stains, folds, in overall very good condition. The original envelope is INCLUDED. ALSO INCLUDED is a nice carte-de-visite (CDV) with her portrait by photographer Bacard fils/de la Roche Succ. (Paris).

A beautiful collection of letters, documents, lithographs, and memorabilia related to the French actress. This collection includes her original passport with many visas, stamps, and signatures, 6 autographs letters in French signed by her (no translation), 3 autograph notes handwritten by her in the third person but not signed, 3 original lithographs of her from her time, 1 carte-de-visite by photographer Mayern & Pierson, 3 original playbills from her time (Boston, London, Edinburgh), plus one modern print of her (which is the last scanned image).
